Tanzania Education Network/Mtandao wa Elimu Tanzania (TEN/MET) in collaboration with other education stakeholders will join the World to mark Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) in collaboration with Mara Region, Rorya District Council officials in particular. The week is planned to be marked at the national level from 31^st May to 4^th June 2021. This year’s Global theme is Financing for Education, and the Motto is One Billion Voices for Education. The agreed theme national is Financing for Education systems for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The overall objective of GAWE 2021 is to advocate for the achievement of SDG4 targets. The focus is to sensitize all stakeholders to actively participate in financing education to contribute to achieving SDG4 targets. Some of the strategies to be applied to realize collective action will include though not limited to: peaceful procession, speeches, choir, poems, dances, sports competition, and support to community works and community sensitization meetings. More than 15 TEN/MET member organizations and other partners are expected to join the commemorations.
